Why Furman? I have often referred to Furman as my “safety blanket,” a place that not only provides ample opportunities for real-world engagement but also offers unwavering support. It is this unique blend of challenge and assistance that has made it possible for me to call Furman home. For an international student this sentiment is particularly rare. In my search for a university, I sought more than just academic rigor and extracurricular enjoyment; I yearned for a sense of community, a place where I could find refuge and connection. Furman has surpassed my expectations by fostering a family. Within this community, I have discovered a sense of belonging not only among my peers but also within the caring embrace of faculty and staff.
