Emily Schuck is vice president for enrollment management at Furman University, where she joined the institution in June 2023. With more than 22 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, Schuck has overseen every major function within enrollment management, consistently advancing innovative, data-driven strategies in recruitment, enrollment strategy, and financial aid optimization. Her work is informed by a deep scholarly interest in leadership, especially in high‑stakes decision-making environments.

Prior to Furman, Schuck served at Marietta College, joining the institution in 2013 as director of student financial services and advancing to assistant vice president for enrollment management in 2016. Earlier in her career, from 2001 to 2013, she held roles of increasing responsibility at Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio, including assistant director of admissions and director of financial aid and government relations. Across these institutions, she has been recognized for aligning institutional mission, student success, and financial sustainability through innovative strategy and evidence-based decision-making.

Schuck holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Marietta College and a Ph.D. in Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. Her doctoral work centers on leadership practice and judgment in complex, high‑stakes contexts, reinforcing her reputation as a scholar‑practitioner in enrollment management and executive leadership.

Schuck and her husband, Brian, reside in Greenville, South Carolina, and are parents to three adult children.
