Band Extravaganza

Join the members of the Furman University Paladin Regiment Marching Band for a new take on an old trick! This year’s Band Extravaganza takes place at the beautiful Furman Amphitheater, where you can bring lawn chairs and a picnic blanket (and a picnic for that matter!) to enjoy the sights and sounds of band pageantry under the stars! The concert offers a preview of the band’s 2026 show music, crowd favorites, and introduces the audience to each section of the band up close! Free General Admission seating.

Directions to the Lakeside Amphitheater via Main Campus

From Poinsett Highway (US 276 West), take the exit toward Furman University and enter campus through the main gates. At the first traffic circle, take any of the 1st through 3rd exits to find parking within the following lots: McAlister Auditorium/Daniel Music Building, Roe Art Building, or Admissions/Administration Building.  From these parking lots, proceed down Old Roe Ford Rd (towards the Furman Police Station, Place of Peace, and Shi Institute).  The Furman Amphitheater is tucked in behind the Shi Institute about 3/4 of a mile off of Old Roe Ford Rd when heading towards the University bell tower.

Overflow parking is also available at the Daniel Chapel lot, which is located off of the 5th exit from the main traffic circle and about midway down the Furman Mall.  You may also park in the Trone Student Center parking lot by proceeding down the Furman Mall until reaching a second traffic circle.  Take the second exit from that traffic circle and proceed towards South Housing.  You will take a right onto a one-way street and then a left onto another one-way street.  Parking in the Trone Student Center lot is available at the bottom of the street on the right-hand side.  From Daniel Chapel or Trone Student Center, you may prefer to walk along the Furman Lake to get to the Lakeside Amphitheater.

Directions to PAC via Timmons Arena Gate (South Gate)

From Poinsett Highway (US 276 West), take the exit toward Timmons Arena and Paladin Stadium. Turn onto Old Buncombe Road and then then turn right onto Duncan Chapel Road. Continue for roughly half a mile and turn right onto Timmons Drive through the Timmons Arena gate. Proceed past Timmons Arena and the Paladin Stadium and make a right onto Cherrydale Lane.  Proceed into the traffic circle and take the third exit, heading towards South Housing. You will take a right onto a one-way street and then a left onto another one-way street.  Parking in the Trone Student Center lot is available at the bottom of the street on the right-hand side.  From Trone Student Center, you may walk along the Furman Lake to get to the Lakeside Amphitheater, which is nestled behind the bell tower.
