What Nikki Haley believes
On official word Tuesday that Nikki Haley will run for president in 2024, Newsweek ran a story about her plans. Journalist Ewan Palmer spoke to Danielle Vinson, a politics and international affairs professor at Furman University, about the former United Nations ambassador and two-term South Carolina governor and the kind of campaign she expects her to run. “She is someone who will run a very policy-focused campaign, which is different from what we’ve seen in recent years,” Vinson said. “She is a mainstream conservative Republican – very pro-business, interested in deregulation of business, cutting taxes to make things more attractive for business. And I think you’ll see her focus on those kinds of issues,” Vinson added.
