Sheree Wright, former Furman University horticulturist, “answers our thorniest questions” about roses in a Q&A appearing in atHome, a publication of Community Journals. Wright served 15 years at Furman before retiring last year. Among her charge were the Janie Earle Furman Rose Garden and the swan residents of Furman Lake in addition to other flora and fauna that contribute to Furman’s campus beauty.

An American Rose Society Master Rosarian, Wright has written for American Rose magazine, is a member of the Garden Writers Association, and is a South Carolina Master Gardener. She shared her top rose tips with Managing Editor Leigh Savage ’94, a political science alumna.
