Savchenko ’27 featured on local TV station

Ukrainian Taekwondo champion Anastasiia Savchenko ’27 and her family had to flee Ukraine in 2022 as war broke out there. She and her family landed in the Upstate, and now Savchenko is studying mathematics, economics and data analytics at Furman University. She also found an Upstate Karate studio to reconnect with the martial arts. WYFF News 4 met her at the studio to get her take on the move and how the martial arts help her face challenges.
