Ruby and the Steinways

Pianist Ruby Morgan, who retired from the Furman music faculty last summer after a long and illustrious career, is spearheading an effort to make Furman an All-Steinway School. As part of a $2.5 million fundraising effort, up to 50 new Steinway pianos are planned to occupy Daniel Recital Hall, faculty studios and practice rooms. The legendary Steinway and Sons of Astoria, New York, wrote about Morgan’s effort on the company’s website.
