Riley Institute’s Cathy Stevens named among ‘Top 50 Women Leaders’

Furman University’s Cathy (Cat) Stevens, a 2001 alumna and senior associate at The Riley Institute, was named among the “Top 50 Women Leaders of South Carolina for 2024” by Women We Admire, a membership organization comprising accomplished women executives and leaders across the United States and Canada. Among other roles at Furman, Stevens serves as an advisor to and representative of The Riley Institute, with particular emphasis on the work of the Center for Education Policy and Leadership. She lends counsel to the directors of The Riley Institute’s after-school and summer learning programs and facilitates connections with leaders of the same on the national and state level.

Stevens is on the board of directors for Family Connection of South Carolina and is a passionate policy advocate in support of individuals with disabilities. She holds a bachelor’s in English from Furman and a master’s in higher education administration from Clemson University.
