Recycling quandary puzzles Charleston apartments

Apartment dwellers in Charleston aren’t provided the same level of recycling service as people who live in single-family homes, leaving residents to take their recycling off site. Some advocacy groups are proposing various solutions to make recycling easier. Karen Allen, assistant professor of sustainability science, suggests the county could consider taxing waste as a way to encourage more recycling. The Charleston Post and Courier has the story.
