Furman University President Elizabeth Davis met recently with other university presidents and national higher education reporters at the Bucknell Presidents Dinner. The event took place Sept. 5 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. Other presidents present were from Agnes Scott College, Amherst College, Bucknell University, Carleton College, Davidson College, DePauw University, Kalamazoo College, Oberlin College and Conservatory, Pomona College and Willamette University. Reporters attended from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Inside Higher Ed, The Chronicle of Higher Ed, POLITICO, U.S. News & World Report and other outlets. The evening gave the higher education leaders an opportunity to share with national reporters the most pressing issues facing their campuses, while reporters got on-the-record comments from the presidents.

You can read about the evening in a story by POLITICO’s Bianca Quilantan.
