In Greenville Marketplace, a publication of The Greenville News, 2017 Furman University alumna Kamber Parker explains how critical it is for businesses to attract and retain young professionals. Her company, The YouPro Know, uses a data-driven approach to help organizations navigate a sea of generations in the working world. “There are five generations in the workplace, and YoPro Know serves as the bridge between these generations,” she said. “There is a way to communicate better in the workforce. We help companies see myths and truths of different generations and share what triggers one generation versus another.”

Parker is a communication studies and political science (now politics and international affairs) graduate. The Greenville Chamber of Commerce named her Young Professional of the Year in 2021 and her company Small Business of the Year in 2022. In July 2023, Parker was selected among Columbia Business Monthly’s SC Women in Business honorees.
