“In your feature on filming near Furman, you neglected to mention a ‘Leatherheads’ location that’s barely 25 football fields from Furman’s back gate. I know it well, because I appear in the opening frame of ‘Leatherheads’ as an extra, and because I was a Travelers Rest High Devildog before a Paladin. My alma mater’s abandoned campus lent itself to the production, and while the period wooden bleachers were removed after the shoot, you can still visit Chico Bolin Stadium, with scoreboard intact, at the back of what is now Trailblazer Park.
