Furman University kicked off MLK Day with a Community Breakfast honoring the civil rights legend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. News outlets covered the Jan. 12 event headlined by NPR’s Eric Deggans. Furman’s Chandra Dillard, state representative and director of community relations at the university, spoke with WYFF News 4. The breakfast was mentioned again during the 5 p.m. WYFF broadcast, and on the Black Information Network in New York (WWRL) and New Orleans (WBOK).
