MLK Community Breakfast features Eddie R. Cole of UCLA

Ahead of Furman University’s annual MLK Community Breakfast, which took place Friday, Jan. 13, FOX Carolina News gave viewers a preview, and WYFF News 4 covered the live event. The event featured guest speaker Eddie R. Cole, associate professor of higher education and organizational change at UCLA. His talk drew from his book, “The Campus Color Line: College Presidents and the Struggle for Black Freedom.” About 250 attended the event in the Melvin and Dollie Younts Conference Center on the Furman campus. Furman’s own Chandra Dillard, director of community relations, was interviewed for the WYFF story.
