Local news covers Furman’s celebration of MLK including talk by NPR’s Deggans

NPR’s Eric Deggans will speak at Furman University Friday, Jan. 12, for the university’s annual MLK Community Breakfast celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His talk, “Building Bridges Not Walls: Decoding the Media’s Confusing Coverage of Race, Gender & Culture,” and other events honoring the civil rights legend were covered in Greenville Journal, GSA Bizwire and UpstateBizSC.
