Liz Smith featured on SCETV’s ‘Carolina Classrooms’

Public broadcasting station SCETV aired a segment on “Carolina Classrooms” featuring Furman University’s Liz Smith, a professor of politics and international affairs. In the Feb. 15 “Civics” installment, Smith talks about The Riley Institute at Furman and its Teachers of Government program. Smith, who directs the program, said in its more than 20 years, TOG has impacted 250 middle and high school teachers. The competitive intensive includes seminars on campus with Furman professors and time in Washington, D.C., to meet education experts, visit C-SPAN and watch the federal legislative process unfold.
