Ken Kolb named to cohort of inaugural ASA Policy Outreach Fellows

Furman University’s Ken Kolb has been named to the American Sociological Association’s Inaugural Policy Outreach Fellowship. The fellowship aims to strengthen connections between ASA and legislative offices, think tanks and other leaders who shape public policy. One of 10 fellows, Kolb is chair and professor of the Department of Sociology. In Kolb’s ASA profile, he was noted for his decadeslong work in community-based research and his collaboration with teams to make social data more transparent and accessible.
