News outlets around the globe covered the results of the Finnish presidential election runoff held Sunday, Feb. 11. Furman political science alumnus and former Prime Minister Alexander Stubb ’93 narrowly won the contest over challenger Pekka Haavisto. Among other sources, the story ran in Italy 24 Press News, The New York Times, Reuters via CNN, Associated Press via ABC News and Bloomberg via MSN, The Boston Globe, The Greenville Journal, FOX Carolina, The Post and Courier Greenville, WYFF News 4  and WSPA-TV.
