Gardner-Webb President Frank Bonner announces retirement

Gardner-Webb University President Frank Bonner has announced that he will retire in January 2019 after spending nearly 14 years in that position. Bonner, a 1969 Furman graduate and the son of former Furman Provost Francis Bonner, joined Gardner-Webb in 1987 as vice president for Academic Affairs. He was named president in 2005.
