Not everyone knows what most Greenvillians already know. Greenville, South Carolina, the hometown of Furman University, is likely the most underrated city in the South according to Travel + Leisure magazine. Travel writer Lauren Dana Ellman lays out the reasons why in her piece, “This Is the South’s Most Underrated City—With Waterfalls, Michelin-starred Restaurants, and Blue Ridge Mountain Views.” She describes Greenville’s food scene, shopping, breweries, Falls Park, the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail, nearby Travelers Rest and more.
