For the first time in program history, Furman Men’s Soccer secures a berth in the NCAA College Cup. The Furman Paladins will face the Washington Huskies Friday, Dec. 12, in Cary, North Carolina. Head Coach Doug Allison spoke to WYFF News 4 following the 1-nil victory in Portland that led to the bid. No matter the outcome this Friday, Allison, who is ending his 31-season coaching career on a high note, said making the NCAA Final Four is an achievement for the ages. “I want them to remember this for the rest of their lives,” he said. “That’s the most important thing – they can tell their kids and their grandkids that they represented Furman University soccer on the biggest stage.”
