Furman University’s students celebrated the South Asian festival of lights, Diwali, on Nov. 10 in the Trone Student Center Burgiss Theater. This student-led Cultural Life Program, organized by the Association of Students Interested in Asia, featured dance performances and highlighted the foods and diverse traditions of Diwali across Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism. There are typically more than 200 CLPs offered each year, engaging students in ideas, art and expressions from various cultures and disciplines.
