Furman trustee John Yates receives lifetime achievement award from Atlanta Business Chronicle

The Atlanta Business Chronicle named Furman University Board of Trustees member John Yates as the 2023 winner of the Leaders in Corporate Citizenship Ann Cramer Lifetime Achievement Award. The award honors an outstanding corporate citizen who has achieved a lifetime of service to the community.

Yates, partner-in-charge for the technology group at Atlanta-based Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, holds a bachelor’s and a juris doctorate from Duke University. He is known throughout the Atlanta area for his “outsized appetite for connecting people – entrepreneurs and funders, jobseekers with potential bosses, nonprofits and donors – especially if it is for the betterment of Atlanta,” according to the Chronicle.

In a LinkedIn post, Yates expressed his thanks. “Proud to receive the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle named in honor of my friend Ann Cramer.
