Furman staff, alumni and trustees named to Greenville Business Magazine’s ‘Most Influential’

Several individuals associated with Furman University were named to Greenville Business Magazine’s “50 Most Influential” for 2024. They include:

  • Kevin Bryant, managing director of Marsh McLennan, Furman alumnus (1985, political science and member of Furman Men’s Basketball) and trustee
  • Sean Hartness, CEO of Hartness Construction and Hartness Development and Furman trustee emeritus. Hartness was also named to Greenville Business Magazine’s “50 Most Influential Hall of Fame”
  • Cal Hurst, president of Southern First Bank and Furman alumnus (2005, business administration and economics and team member of Furman Baseball) and
  • Liz Seman, Furman chief of staff and liaison to the board of directors. Seman serves as vice chair of Greenville County Council.

Others in the “Most Influential” include those who have participated in programs at Furman University through The Riley Institute and The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
