Four new members of the Furman Athletic Hall of Fame were recognized in a ceremony celebrating the class of 2022 Feb. 10. Marc Whiteman of WYFF News 4 caught up with Billy Napier ’03, head coach of the Florida Gators. “It’s so many people that contribute in the game of football,” Napier said. “Individual success is a direct reflection, and certainly for me in particular, of all the great players we had around us, and the great coaches we had, in a really unique time.” Napier, a health sciences alumnus, led the Paladins to two SoCon Championships and an NCAA I-AA (FCS) national runner-up finish.

The enshrinement class also included longtime women’s golf coach Mic Potter, and women’s golfer Taylor Totland. All-American soccer player Shea Salinas, a member of the 2021 Hall of Fame class, was also honored.
