On most days, Furman University alumna Jennifer Schaming-Ronan ’95 (political science and urban studies) is defending the homeland in her role as chief of Future Plans and Operations in Public Affairs at NORAD and U.S. Northern Command. But on Dec. 24, it’s all about Santa and making sure the jolly elf has a safe route for delivering toys around the globe. In several segments, local TV station WYFF News 4 covered Greenville’s connection to the night of Santa-watching and the tradition it has become over the last 70 years.
