In an op-ed for The Greenville News on May 20, education professor Paul Thomas writes that South Carolina should avoid investing time in and allocating tax dollars to charter schools, particularly when those commitments detract from addressing known problems in the public schools.  Otherwise, the state remains committed to contradictory policies.
