FOX Carolina taps the expertise of Furman University’s George Lipscomb in its “The School Station” segment about how COVID-19 is impacting learning in K-12 education. A professor in the education department at the university, Lipscomb also offers tips for students seeking college admission. Stressing the importance of a well-rounded education for college-bound high school juniors and seniors, Lipscomb explains that Furman, an entrance test-optional institution, has a holistic view of student candidates, who benefit from having excellence in academics, extra-curricular activities and community service opportunities.
