Construction underway for startup community on Poinsett
According to an article by Conor Hughes in The Post and Courier – Greenville, work has begun to convert a historic industrial building that once operated as a bottling plant in Greenville into a hub for entrepreneurs and business startups. The hub, known as the Crescent Startup Community, will be anchored by Flywheel Coworking, a Winston-Salem based company with five locations across the Southeast. The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman University will also have a presence at the 47,000-square-foot Poinsett Highway facility now designated a historic site by the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service, as reported by GSA Business and UpstateBizSC.
