The Furman University Department of Mathematics is again in the spotlight as March Madness approaches. The Athletic editors rely on Furman University mathematics professors Liz Bouzarth, John Harris and Kevin Hutson and the statistical model they helped develop to predict which NCAA men’s basketball teams may fall and which ones might emerge as Cinderella stories in the tournament.
