Furman University’s J. Aaron Simmons, a professor of philosophy, has a new book that is capturing the attention of local media. “Camping with Kierkegaard: Faithfulness as a Way of Life” was featured on FOX Carolina’s “Access Carolina” with Margaret Burnquist and on WSPA 7News’ “Your Carolina” with host and Furman alumnus Jamarcus Gaston. Born out of COVID-19 shutdowns and isolation, the book encourages readers to live in the present and to reframe what it means to be successful and happy.
