At the rate AI is growing, it’s anybody’s guess how machine-learning or deep learning technologies will ultimately impact human lives, said Patrick Musau, a 2017 Furman University alumnus (physics, computing applied mathematics). The Google software engineer joined a panel discussion, “AI and the Future of Business,” Nov. 17 at the Greenville ONE Center.

The event was presented by Advantage Greenville, a thought leadership forum of The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship led by Furman’s Bryan Davis. Garrett Stern, executive director of Furman’s Center for Innovative Leadership, moderated the panel. dotflo co-founders, Spencer Tate ’24 (economics and business administration) and Nemath Ahmed, a Georgia Tech graduate student, also participated in the conversation along with Build Carolina founder Lelia King.
