A New Call

Maria Swearingen, an associate chaplain at Furman, and her wife, Sally Sarratt, have been called to Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., to serve as co-pastors. The couple will begin their new jobs at the church Feb. 26, serving at a “progressive Baptist landmark in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C.” The Washington Post reported on the church’s new co-pastors.
