Nicknames can showcase a school’s creativity in branding its athletic teams. Sometimes, it is a connection to the history of the school or region. Other times, the nickname choice defies explanation. Yahoo! Sports compiled its list of the top 25 college football teams that have unique and creative nicknames, and the Furman Paladins made the cut.
