All Good

In P. Edwin Good, Jr.’s 72 years, his professional life thus far has been punctuated with teaching, property development and management, managing mortgage companies, serving as a current Furman board member and, in the 70s, as director of Alumni Programs, among a wealth of other volunteer and philanthropic endeavors. It’s no wonder Good (Furman Class of 1967) was honored with the Lifetime of Charitable Giving Award from The Community Foundation of Greenville.

In an article appearing in TOWN magazine, Good lays out a blueprint for success (10 simple rules) and gives credit to his alma mater, saying, “I’m so proud of Furman. The Riley Institute offers many wonderful programs that are available to the community, and the OLLI program with all the different courses for senior citizens. It’s a top-notch school turning out terrific young people. We’ve got so many professional people in the community, doctors, lawyers, and business executives, who got their start and their education at Furman.”
