Established in 2019, The Rinker Paladin Pitch Competition is now entering its sixth year at Furman University. This exciting event showcases the innovative ideas of five student finalists who will pitch their new venture concepts to a panel of judges and a diverse audience of students, faculty, alumni, and community leaders. 

Over the years, we’ve seen ventures ranging from sustainable musical reeds to AI-focused data analytics platforms and custom jewelry. Students compete to take home the $10,000 Johnny Flynn Award to support launching their entrepreneurial venture; second place will take home $2,000, Crowd Favorite receives $1000, and final place receives $500 in startup seed funding to go towards launching their venture. With a focus on creativity and entrepreneurship, this event helps fuel the translation of innovative ideas into action, providing students with valuable experience in presenting their ideas, networking, and building confidence in their entrepreneurial pursuits.
