The Beverly Osborne Williams Teaching Partnerships Fund: Fostering Collaborative Excellence in Education
Celebrate our 11th annual Dins Day on April 29th by making a donation of $5 or more to the FDC’s Beverly Osborne Williams Teaching Partnerships Fund. The fund is in its second of five years of development and will provide faculty, academic staff, and students with meaningful opportunities for collaborative teaching, learning, and professional growth.
Beverly’s 43-year career as a public-school educator exemplified the power of collaborative teaching. Throughout her career, she regularly welcomed student teachers into her classroom, creating valuable feedback exchanges between educators and students—a practice fundamental to supporting growth for all.
The Beverly Osborne Williams Teaching Partnerships Fund embodies this collaborative spirit by supporting several key initiatives at the Faculty Development Center:
- The SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) Scholars Program
- The Peer Coaching Program
- The Students as Pedagogical Partners program, which will support meaningful collaboration between students and faculty on course planning, in-class facilitation, assignment design, and small-group leadership.
Your early contribution helps us qualify for additional challenge funds as we work toward our goal of 43 unique donors—symbolizing one donation for each year of Beverly’s dedicated service to education.
To contribute, please visit our donation link before April 29. Select the “Make Your Gift Early” button, complete the form, and search for “Beverly Osborne Williams Teaching Partnerships Fund (Faculty Development Center)” in the “Designation” field.
