Developing Anti-Racist Syllabus

Building on our inclusive syllabus conversation, participants will reconsider course policies using an antiracist lens. After a large group discussion in which we define “antiracist” (using in part Ibraim X. Kendi’s work; a summary is available here), small groups will examine a sample set of common class policies (attendance, late work acceptance, class participation) and suggest modifications to the large group.  Following a debrief discussion, participants will have individual work time to revise a unique policy on their own syllabi.
