Supporting Academic Integrity & Understanding Academic Policies Lunch & Learn

September 18, 2025 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Thursday, September 18
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Trustees’ Dining Room (Daniel Dining Hall)

Questions often arise in that moment when faculty suspect there has been an academic integrity violation in one of their classes. What was this student thinking? What have they already been taught about academic integrity on campus? Was I clear in my expectations? What do I do next? Are other faculty members seeing this as well?

In this lunch and learn, Jason Jones, Associate Academic Dean, will share the basic statistics from the 2024-2025 academic year, highlight the observed reasons students cheat, present and answer questions about policies and procedures surrounding academic misconduct, briefly share what students are taught in Pathways regarding academic integrity, and provide space for participants to share best practices in setting expectations. We will pay particular attention to AI and its role in academic integrity.

Lunch will be provided, so please arrive a few minutes early to make your meal selections if you are able.

Register online.
