The Office of the Associate Dean of Academic Community (ADAC) is excited to partner with the Faculty Development Center (FDC) to present a Lunch & Learn program on Wednesday, November 5th from 12pm to 1pm in the Trustees Dinning Room. The short program will feature faculty panelists from different corners of the globe who will share how education models are structured in high schools and Universities in multiple countries, highlighting the value of a cross-cultural learning experience. Moderated by Sri Chandrasekaran and Stephanie Freis, the conversation will underscore student learning models that span both universal principles and cultural distinctions, encouraging us to consider how we can incorporate globally diverse ways of teaching and learning at Furman.
The panelists will include Min-Ken Liao (Biology), Raiana de Carvalho (Communication Studies), Ilka Rasch (Modern Languages and Literatures—German), and Santiago Quintero (Modern Languages and Literatures—Spanish).
Please come early to grab lunch, interact with colleagues, and talk to our panelists!
