Compassion fatigue, sometimes called “the cost of caring,” is a term coined in the health and care professions to describe the stages of fatigue that ensue when we shoulder too much emotional burden—of our students, our colleagues, or people on our teams. Join faculty and academic staff in this workshop to learn to recognize the 5 stages of compassion fatigue as a means to develop compassion resilience. We will practice using a coaching-informed approach to encourage your students to amplify their own agency while developing your own compassion resilience.
We will meet Wednesday, April 1, 3:00-4:15pm, in LIB043.
