AI in Action Workshop: AI-related SoTL & Sharing AI Assessments

January 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

Back by popular demand, the FDC’s AI in Action series features faculty and staff sharing ways they are using AI in their teaching, research, or professional life. To engage fully in the workshop, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet. Snacks will be provided! Attendees are welcome to attend any or all sessions, none are cumulative, but each will be especially informative.

Thursday, January 15, 3:00-4:15pm in LIB043 

  • FDC members will guide participants through AI-related SoTL questions and how to use our umbrella IRB. Session includes time to share and brainstorm current AI assessment attempts.  

Wednesday, February 11, 3:00-4:15pm in LIB043 

  • Brian Augustine (Chemistry) will share ways in which he’s incorporated AI into his course activities and assignments. Session includes time for discussion and AI play. 

Tuesday, March 17, 3:00-4:15pm in LIB043 

  • Chris Alvin (CS) will share research assessing LLM performance in assignment development. Session includes time for discussion and AI play.
