March 26 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join Furman’s  pre-law advisor Maya Russell for a workshop to discuss significant changes to law school admissions including:

  • the removal of the LSAT analytical reasoning section,
  • a growth in schools admitting on the GRE test, the introduction of the JDNext testing option,
  • how AI is impacting file review,
  • how the revision of the USNWR ranking formula is impacting admissions,
  • and how the SCOTUS decision prohibiting race-conscious admissions and subsequent re-working of application statements by the majority of law schools is slowing the application and review process.

There will be opportunity for small group break-out discussions and question and answer.

Participants will collect key law school updates that they may relay to their advisees, consider how they may integrate professionalism content into their law school letters of recommendation, and learn where to find information on new pipeline and other programs for students and alumni planning to apply to law school.
