January is National Mentoring Month, and faculty and staff are welcome to attend “Celebration of Mentoring at Furman,” a special lunch organized by Erik Ching, interim associate provost for engaged learning, and Melanie Armstrong, mentoring coordinator, with help from the Faculty Development Center. Furman colleagues who have experience in the areas of study away, research, and career exploration will share stories and tips for effective mentoring on January 28 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Trustee’s Dining Room of the Daniel Dining Hall. The event will be a fun celebration of all of the positive mentoring that Furman’s faculty and staff are providing for students.
Also, there will be prizes in addition to lunch being provided! If you are interested and able to eat with us, please arrive at 11:30 to make your meal selections from the Dining Hall. Enjoy mealtime fellowship before the celebration begins at noon.
RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend.
