When you arrive at a CLP Event, you will be required to present your student ID card for verification. Your ID card will be scanned upon entry, and you must stay for the entire event. The credit will show on your student record within a business week.
Students on a semester study away faculty-led, affiliate, and exchange program are not considered enrolled on the Furman campus and therefore have their total CLP requirement adjusted accordingly. Transfer students are only required to attend a total number of CLP events equal to four times the number of semesters (fall and spring) in which they are enrolled for courses on the Furman campus.
No. These are exactly the kind of experiences we hope you will have on your own time, but in the interest of fairness to add student and administrative feasibility the program cannot include these events.
There are typically over 200 CLP events offered per year; your job is to select and attend at least eight. All upcoming events are shown on the Furman CLP Calendar. The Paladin often features upcoming CLPs. Faculty frequently announce recommended events in their classes, while event sponsors often post advertising fliers around campus. Keep your eyes and ears open – when you hear of an event that appeals to you, attend it!
No. You receive one CLP award per event attended. Although you are welcome to attend events more than once, you will only receive a single credit. Exceptions will be explicitly noted on the CLP website.
