Suzanne Dodd joined the Furman Psychology department in 2020 as an adjunct instructor teaching Applied Sport Psychology. She earned her Psychology degree from Presbyterian College and then went on to Florida State University for a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a doctorate degree in Physical Education. She is active in sports officiating and holds National certifications in officiating from USA Volleyball and the Professional Association of Volleyball Officials (PAVO). Suzanne has officiated several regional and national championships at the juniors and collegiate levels. Her research interests involve blending psychological principles with performance activities -- especially sport -- but also music, acting, preaching, and whatever else comes along. Suzanne has presented at local and national conferences on the principles of peak performance in sports officiating. When she’s not officiating, Suzanne likes to attend sporting events, travel, and go to concerts.
