Michael Vick aka Michael aTonal Vick is a multi-instrumentalist whose main focus is performing and composing music on what he calls extended & limited guitars, basses, keys, glissentar, ipAds & percussionz to create xenharmonicx. Vick’s style is hard to describe because it can range from the conventional to the abstract utilizing microtonal tuning systems. Vick has been performing, composing & teaching music for over 25 years, and his teaching style is one that encompasses all aspects of music from theory and technique to composition and performance. For his work with tuning systems & fretless guitars, Michael has been featured in books, magazines & on the internet, as well as; on tv & radio, and for the past 10 years he has taught a MayX course at Furman University on this subject called Tuning Systems & the Aural Experience. Michael is currently endorsed by Godin Guitars, FreeNote Music & Unfretted Records.

Michael has been featured on various recording compilations with some of the best guitarists in the World including but not limited to Robert Fripp, Pierre Bensusan, Steve Lukather, Elliott Sharp/E#, Adrian Belew, Jon Catler, Ron Thal/Bumblefoot, Alice Stuart, Dave Fuze Fiuczynski, Ottmar Liebert & Stevie Salas. Michael has also work closely with the American Festival of Microtonal Music & its director Johnny Reinhard for over 10 years; plus Michael has worked with wunderkind-bassist Mono Neon for the past 8 years which includes their duo release John Cage On Soul Train.
