Melissa Fair joined the Institute for the Advancement of Community Health in 2016 as the Community Action Director. Fair brings a wealth of community-based health promotion and evaluation experience to the institute through her longstanding relationship with LiveWell Greenville (LWG) and its more than 100 community partnerships. In this role, Fair also serves as the principal investigator of LWG, overseeing the strategic direction of its evaluation activities and the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from Furman, Clemson and UofSC. A Greenville native, Fair received a B.S. in health and exercise science from Furman, her M.P.H. from UofSC Arnold School of Public Health, and is currently a fifth-year doctoral candidate at the UofSC Arnold School of Public Health.
