Kent received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2004. He completed his Master of Science degree from Washington University School of Medicine in 1989. His Bachelor degree from Northern Illinois in 1986. Kent has over 30 years’ experience in orthopedic physical therapy, including the treatment of joint replacements, extremity injuries and spinal dysfunction. He has additional credentialing as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. His clinical emphasis has been on the assessment and treatment of running related injuries and foot/ankle disorders. Prior to joining the Furman Sports Medicine/Therapy team Kent lead the “ATI Running Institute” for 9 years. The Running Institute is an injury-prevention program that provides biomechanical analysis and musculoskeletal assessments. Kent is also an accomplished clinical instructor and has served as a clinical mentor in numerous OCS and SCS residency programs. He is a frequent article contributor to the “Pace” running magazine providing runners with valuable prevention and treatment information.
