Kendall Gallagher-King manages the Riley Institute’s student leadership programs, including the Advance Team, the Community of Scholars, the student delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Voices of the Future Summit, and student internships. She also works closely with the director of the Institute’s Center for Critical Issues to coordinate and manage logistics for all Riley Institute policy events, both on campus and across the state, with a special focus on student engagement opportunities.

Prior to joining the Riley Institute, Kendall taught science in public schools in South Carolina. Her instruction focused heavily on project-based learning and STEAM, combining science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math to guide student inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Carolina Upstate and a master’s degree in education from Clemson University.
